Katie is a perfectionist trying to make the most of her very imperfect life. The story of her three children's adoption from the foster care system has captured hearts all across the world and was notably Good Morning America's top digital story of 2019.  She currently resides in Colorado with her boyfriend and is a bonus parent to his two children.  So between the two they have 5 children 5 years old and younger, and they are also currently fostering a baby girl.  Katie juggles a full-time job in the construction industry and spends weekends renovating their modern farmhouse or on the road in their fifth wheel.
